Originally developed by Dr. E. Paul Torrance in 1966, the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking are the oldest, most widely used creativity test in the world, having been translated into 35 foreign languages. These instruments have been used for identification of the creatively gifted in school districts throughout the USA, and special populations around the world.
Testing only requires the examinee to reflect upon their life experiences. These tests invite examinees to draw and give a title to their drawings or to write questions, reasons, and different uses for objects. Implementation is primarily through individual or group administration, kindergarten through adult.
